Position Summary
The Cleveland Yachting Club is seeking an Assistant Pool Manager that is responsible, attentive, and safety-focused to join our team for the upcoming season. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our members and their guests at the pool and waterfront areas by maintaining the lifeguard staff. Candidates must be organized, professional, knowledgeable on pool safety and protocols, and available to lifeguards.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a lifeguard when necessary
- Train under the Pool Manager
- Assisting Manager with duties such as scheduling and managing lifeguards, enforcing safety, maintaining cleanliness and appearance of pool deck, and ensuring smooth operations
- Assisting with lifeguard training and inservice events
- Assisting with pool mechanical operations such as chemicals, filtration, and coordinating with a maintenance crew
- Assisting lifeguards in emergency situations and handle protocols
- Work with club members and ensure their satisfaction
Qualifications
- Prior lifeguarding experience (required)
- Must be knowledgeable on lifeguard duties and safety protocols
- Professional
- Strong organization and managerial skills
- Leadership qualities
- Ability to work with teenagers
Schedule & Availability
- Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays (weekends required)
- Seasonal position with opportunities for additional hours during peak periods
