Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance.
• Conduct carpet cleaning using specialized equipment to remove stains and dirt, ensuring carpets look fresh and extend their lifespan.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas by sanitizing surfaces, replenishing supplies, and managing waste disposal.
• Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Execute detailed floor care routines including stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing to uphold high standards of cleanliness and shine.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures while reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to promote sustainability within the facility.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care and carpet cleaning.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and deep cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate janitorial equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, vacuums, and carpet cleaners confidently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results consistently.
• Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with environmental services standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic spaces.
