Position Highlights:
- Bathing, drying, and prepping dogs for haircuts
- Performing haircuts (as skills and experience allow)
- Light reception duties and client interaction
- Working in a systemized, efficient environment focused on pets’ well-being
This role involves hands-on care for 5-7 dogs during an 8-hour shift, with team collaboration ensuring a smooth, low-stress environment. All team members participate in cleaning and upkeep to maintain a safe, welcoming space for pets and staff alike.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 1-2 years in pet care, customer relations, and cleaning preferred
- Team Skills: Strong communication with clients and team members, a collaborative spirit, and a supportive approach
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50 lbs, manage dogs independently, and assist team members as needed
Training & Growth: Our training begins with a job shadow, skill assessment, and a two-week trial period, followed by a 60-90 day onboarding program with regular check-ins. We’re committed to evolving with new techniques and products and welcome team input on tools and processes. Clear paths for career advancement and ongoing education opportunities will be provided.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Set weekly schedule after training, with at least one evening per week required and Saturdays required.
- Minimum 4-hour shifts, full- or part-time
- Hourly pay (based on experience) plus tips, and production bonus after six months. Additional benefits include PTO after one year, and discounts on services for your pets.
We take pride in the stability of our schedule and the longevity of our salon, allowing our human and canine clients to build lasting relationships with our team members. Our salon handles 60-75 dogs a week with a rotating clientele on a 2 to 8-week schedule, focusing primarily on maintenance with thorough standards for new clients. Client relations are always backed by management, ensuring that guidance is available, and with two team members present at all times, support is never far away!
