Academic Program Coordinator – Future Ready NYC
Responsibilities
- Assist with the input, verification, and ongoing maintenance of institutional and program records for 3,000 high school students participating in Future Ready NYC and other Collaborative Programs, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with College and CUNY reporting standards.
- Serve as Future Ready NYC Data Coordinator, including the development and maintenance of program databases; collection and analysis of participation, credentialing, and outcomes data; and assistance with the preparation of internal, CUNY, and NYC PS.
- Maintain and update all digital and communication platforms related to Future Ready NYC, including website content, program materials, and social media, in support of outreach, recruitment, and public engagement efforts.
- Assist with the daily coordination of academic, workforce, and administrative activities for the Future Ready NYC Program, supporting program implementation, student placement, and partner coordination.
- Plan, organize, and support meetings, workshops, and special events for Future Ready NYC students, including advisory group meetings, recognition events, and campus-based or partner-hosted activities.
- Serve as a liaison between the Office of Collaborative Programs and Kingsborough Community College offices such as the Registrar, Academic Scheduling, Public Safety, Career Services, and Academic Departments to facilitate seamless student participation and program operations.
- Coordinate and supervise student recruitment, onboarding, advising, and career counseling operations in collaboration with NYC Public Schools, partner high schools, and workforce organizations.
- Recommend, implement, and evaluate strategies to expand and strengthen workforce-aligned course offerings, certifications, and career-connected learning opportunities consistent with Future Ready NYC goals.
- Coordinate, schedule, and conduct staff orientation and professional development sessions, with emphasis on youth development, equity-focused practices, and career readiness programming.
- Assist the Director with outreach activities to parents, school leaders, district partners, and external stakeholders, including principals, superintendents, and workforce partners, to support student engagement and program sustainability.
- Manage all aspects of the Collaborative Programs’ daily office operations, including allocation and monitoring of College Assistant hours; staff scheduling; timesheets; personnel coordination; and maintenance of a professional office environment.
- Serve as liaison to the College’s Office of Human Resources and Labor Relations regarding personnel and staffing matters.
- Represent the Office of Collaborative Programs at CUNY Central meetings, participate in assigned subcommittees, and attend relevant local, regional, and national conferences aligned with workforce development and college access.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of Future Ready NYC goals and institutional priorities.
