The City of Sevierville is seeking a dynamic and motivated person to fill the role of Finance Technician. This role works directly in City Hall Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. The City has 12 paid Holidays, paid parental leave, annual vacation and sick time. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform accounting work of high responsibility. The position is responsible primarily for processing accounts payable records but may also be involved in utility billing, payroll, record maintenance and reviewing, processing of general fiscal ledger records, payroll records, account receivable records, tax billing and administration, asset inventory and record keeping. The position works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires Associate’s degree or the equivalent of two years of college or specialized vocational training in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a closely related field.
Requires two years of related experience.
