What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Dial-A-Ride Driver position at The City of Mount Clemens?
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Works under the direct supervision of the Dial-A-Ride Supervisor & the general direction of the Dial-A-Ride Dispatcher. Performs a variety of tasks associated with driving a small bus, picking up & dropping off passengers. Provides safe, courteous & on-time transportation while adhering to traffic regulations. Communicates & interacts with the public in a professional respectful manner. Provide assistance to those requiring it. Maintains records, collects fares, passes & issues vouchers when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Chauffeurs Driver's License
2. Must have a good driving record.
3. Must be able to work alone on an assigned rotational shift, work overtime and weekends.
4. Ability to safely drive a bus, have a thorough knowledge of traffic laws and possess defensive driving skills.
5. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of different backgrounds and abilities.
7. Must have the ability to perform the essential job related functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
8. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
