Description
The City of Moraine is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of Community Development Assistant. This position performs a variety of clerical and administrative work in providing customer service, maintaining records, providing administrative support to the Community Development staff, and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the department. Works under the general supervision of the Community Development Director or their designee.
Salary
The pay range is $18.06 – $23.06 per hour. Starting pay is $18.06 per hour or higher depending on qualifications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Two years of additional, related office experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience
- The ability to work closely with others in a team environment, and interact well with the public
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required. All candidates must be willing to submit to random drug screenings
- Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as the ability to learn finance software
