The City of Largo is seeking a Child Care Leader to support staff in delivering high-quality Recreation, Parks, and Arts programs. This role involves planning, supervising, and actively participating in activities while ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children. Work is performed with some independence, following established policies and procedures, under the direction of an assigned supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old (per Pinellas County Child Care Licensing Board requirements).
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in recreation, customer service, or childcare programs preferred.
CPR and AED First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire (training provided).
Completion of License Board training requirements within one year of hire.
Preferred Certifications:
Staff Member in Charge (SMIC) Certification.
Child Care 40 clock-hour training.
