Responsibilities:- Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of public and staff spaces, including restroom facilities, and ensuring they remain fully stocked.
- Cleaning and disinfecting water fountains.
- Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, replenishing supplies, and emptying trash and recycling receptacles.
- Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas, such as: doorknobs, elevator buttons, counter areas, desks and tables; cleaning windows, dusting books shelves and desks.
- Performing minor repairs and assembling office equipment as needed.
- Setting up, taking down and moving furniture and equipment for programs, meetings, and special events.
- Collect litter and debris inside and outside the building.
- Performing basic outdoor maintenance, such as raking leaves and assisting with snow and ice removal.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from High school preferred.
- Custodial or maintenance experience.
- Possession of a driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
- Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, sometimes under unfavorable weather conditions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
- An equivalent of training and experience may be considered.
Schedule 20 hours per week afternoons and evenings; including Saturday and Sunday shifts. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3-7pm; Saturday and Sunday 7:30am-11:30am (subject to change depending on needs).
Salary:
$21,500 - $23,750 annual salary/$20.64-$22.83 per hour depending on qualifications.
