What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Operations Worker position at The City of Dalton?
Applications are currently being accepted for the full-time position of Operations at the Dalton Convention Center. Qualified candidates will be responsible for all events setups, such as chairs, tables, audio visual equipment, under the direction of the Operations Supervisor. Additionally, qualified candidates will be responsible for operating automotive and mechanical equipment, including forklifts. The candidates will be responsible for providing manual labor with the ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs during job responsibilities. Must be able to follow specific verbal and written instructions and display the ability to supervise semi-skilled workers. This position is a non-exempt hourly position that requires ability to work flexible hours during daytime, nights, weekends and some holidays. Schedule times and days off vary based on event requirements. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and have high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Salary starts at $18.50 per hour and with potential to receive an increase after the 90 day probation period based on performance.
