The Treasury Services Officer provide a complete range of treasury management services to new and existing commercial customers.
About the Role
Opens new commercial deposit accounts, explains related financial institution products and services and gathers customer information to process new and existing accounts while building customer confidence and trust. Treasury services researches, presents, and leads the team for implementing new products and services within the bank. In addition to these roles, the Treasury Service Officer is expected to perform the following duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provides efficient and courteous customer service, cross-marketing products and services to generate new business for the bank when appropriate.
- Opens and maintains a select range of deposit accounts and related services offered by the bank including but not limited to complex commercial deposit accounts, business debit cards, remote deposit capture, merchant services, lockbox, ACH, ZBA sweeps, Positive Pay services, and business credit cards.
- Responds to Requests for Proposal (RFP) by assessing customer needs and recommending effective strategies with a cost benefit and risk analysis.
- Research and present on new products and services in accordance with evolving customer needs and banking trends.
- Prepares Security for Public Deposits Act reporting for public deposits.
- Negotiates pricing to optimize profitability of product or service solutions.
- Prepares and maintains account paperwork, including signature cards, check orders, transfers and service charges.
- Proactively prospects for new business and meets established goals for growth and profitability.
- Carries out the bank’s client retention strategies.
- Works with certain commercial borrowers to provide a select range of commercial loan products including working capital lines, asset based lending and factoring solutions.
- Reviews and processes certain loan purchasing opportunities from select sources such as healthcare groups, automobile dealerships, and investment bankers.
- Actively refers loan, mortgage and brokerage services to appropriate financial institution specialists.
- Participates in sales, service and product training meetings.
- Represents the bank in community affairs and civic organizations.
- Keeps work area well organized, neat and clean.
- Follows all policies and procedures.
- Completes all required in-house training or other approved training programs as assigned.
- Complies with Bank Secrecy Act Requirements.

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited four year university or college; or five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
