Responsibilities

About the Role:

Citco Technology Management is seeking a Junior IT Developer to assist in developing and maintaining data-focused applications. You will be part of the IT department that manages the Reconciliation platform for the firm. You will work closely with experienced data engineers, analysts, and developers across the globe.

Your Role:

• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing and basic tasks.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Assist in designing and developing data processing pipelines with AI integration.
• Learn and apply best practices in data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML.
• Communicate effectively with businnes and Product management teams
• Participate in code reviews and learn from senior team members.
• Help in troubleshooting Production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to documentation of application process.
• Participate and contribute on all team activities such as sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives

Qualifications

About You:

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of data processing and analytics, with technical skills in Python, AWS, and SQL.

• You must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in data-related development using Python, AWS, API and SQL,PL/SQL.
• Basic understanding Linux concepts.
• Sound knowledge of design patterns.
• Well rounded individual capable of performing several roles with ability to work in a fast paced, complex IT environment.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Interest in AI and machine learning applications in finance.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies, including AI tools and frameworks, and adapt quickly.
• Good communication skills, including oral and written English.
• Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment.
• Keywords – Python, API, SQL, data processing, analytics, AI, machine learning, cloud, AWS, Git.
