JOB SUMMARY
This position is a full-time opportunity for a bilingual (English-Spanish) graduate from an accredited graduate program in counselor education, clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or an international equivalent. Under the supervision of an assigned licensed clinician, the therapist will provide counseling services while gaining necessary clinical hours for their relevant professional license. The program is ideal for applicants seeking to advance their psychotherapy skills in a community setting with immigrant populations. The Circle also offers an excellent opportunity for beginning clinicians to hone their skills in working with trauma and acculturative stress.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The therapist will have the opportunity to provide a broad range of clinical services and engage in short-term and long-term counseling in Spanish and English. Clinical services include not only individual therapy, but couples, group, and occasional family therapy. The therapist is expected to perform at least 20 hours of direct clinical work each week. Outreach and administrative responsibilities are expected to fill the remainder of the 40-hour work week.
- Provide available times for walk-in emergency clients throughout the week.
- Coordinate and provide group psychotherapy focused on issues requested by clients.
- Conduct full diagnostic intake evaluations and risk evaluations, referring clients to a higher level of care when necessary.
- Offer psychoeducational workshops with residents of the area. In conjunction with the supervisors of the Practicum, the therapist will work with practicum students and other staff members to assist in the development and delivery of these workshops.
- Complete regular clinical documentation for all clients including intakes, progress notes and termination summaries.
- Maintain ongoing professional development training and continuing education hours according to licensing or certification requirements. Where appropriate, obtain licensure within 12 months of employment.
- Opportunity to provide services both on-site and remotely. The therapist will be required to work four days on site and is allowed one remote/hybrid workday per week.
- The Therapist reports to the Director of Counseling and will work closely with the Training Director of the Practicum regarding the needs of clients who present themselves for service.
- The therapist cooperates with the staff of the Circle in providing programming, psychoeducation and information for all clients at the Circle. They will remain attentive to needs expressed by the clients who come not only for therapy but also for various programs at the Circle.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A master’s degree in a clinical field (counseling, clinical social work, clinical psychology) is required (LPC, MSW, LSW).
- Applicants must be bilingual (English-Spanish) and have completed at least 6 months of clinical assessment, therapy and psychoeducation in Spanish.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, with professionals and other staff members in Spanish and English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, time management, and coordination skills.
- Ability to engage in individual and group supervision and to learn from the experience.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- Salary Range: $50 - 60,000
