Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
- Manage bar operations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process cash transactions accurately.
- Develop innovative beverage recipes and seasonal specials to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and place orders for beverages and bar essentials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours while managing multiple tasks effectively through excellent time management skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mixologist or Bartender in fine dining or high-volume settings; previous restaurant or hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage presentation techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Experience in beverage recipe development and creating innovative drinks that delight guests.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills; experience with cashiering or cash handling is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices within a food service environment.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours; banquet or catering experience is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of food industry operations including food service standards, retail math, and beverage sales techniques.
