Job Summary
The role is responsible for driving solution leadership and technical execution across PACS transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on Claim Cost API architecture, cross-team requirements alignment, and modernization support across dependent workstreams. This position partners closely with business and engineering stakeholders to define scalable technical solutions, refine requirements, and ensure successful delivery across interconnected platforms and APIs.
This role will serve as a key engineering lead supporting transformation priorities within PBS Claims Distributed Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical solutioning and engineering design activities for PACS transformation initiatives.
- Support architecture definition and implementation planning for the Claim Cost API and related service integration patterns.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to finalize and refine business and technical requirements for PACS- and API-related initiatives.
- Work closely with partner teams such as Copay and Optimus to ensure requirements are clearly defined, aligned, and actionable.
- Translate business needs into scalable technical designs that support enterprise modernization objectives.
- Identify dependencies, design risks, and integration impacts across connected applications and services.
- Facilitate solution discussions among engineering, product, and business stakeholders to drive alignment and execution readiness.
- Support implementation planning, backlog shaping, and technical decision-making for in-flight transformation work.
- Provide subject matter expertise for domain-specific workflows, APIs, and transformation-related delivery efforts.
- Contribute to delivery continuity by preserving technical context, reducing rework, and enabling faster execution across multiple dependent workstreams.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in software engineering, solution design, and enterprise application modernization.
- Experience working on large-scale distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented integration patterns.
- Ability to drive technical conversations across architecture, business requirements, and implementation teams.
- Strong understanding of application design, system integration, and end-to-end solution delivery.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams to align requirements and deliver complex initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in environments involving transformation, modernization, and evolving business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare / PBM domain engineering environments.
- Experience with API-led architecture and modernization of legacy platforms.
- Experience with claims-related workflows, pricing/cost services, or similar high-dependency transaction systems.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs with multiple partner teams and dependencies.
