What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intelligent Automation Engineering Leader - Senior Director - Remote position at The Cigna Group?
This is a senior leadership role under Office of Intelligent Automation (OIA). This role leads architecture, design, development, implementation, innovation, research and technical direction of intelligent business process management and workflow automation solutions for the enterprise. This is a key engineering role with responsibilities for DevOps, Performance engineering and testing for intelligent automation solutions to ensure resiliency and availability of intelligent automation solutions in Production.
This role will partner with senior business and operations leaders, senior technology leaders to negotiate, influence and automate current manual workflows as much as possible to improve affordability and stakeholder experience.
This role leads architecture, design, development, implementation, innovation, research and technical direction of intelligent business process management and workflow automation solutions for the enterprise.
This is a key engineering role with responsibilities for DevOps, Performance engineering and testing for intelligent automation solutions to ensure resiliency and availability of intelligent automation solutions in Production.
In addition, this role will have responsibilities for pulling through value from Process Instrumentation and converting operations insights to efficiencies through automation and generate millions of dollars in value.
Key Responsibilities of this role are:
- Implement workflow automation and BPM solutions including architecture, design, development, testing, using solutions like Pega BPM, Azure Logic Apps or AWS step functions.
- Maximize automation of the workflow by integrating with RPA solutions like UiPath, Intelligent document processing services and to other enterprise APIs and Services
- Set up the technology platforms to scale process instrumentation across different lines of business to identify automation opportunities
- Drive value from process instrumentation by implementing automation solutions to solve for the insights from process instrumentation
- Ensure availability and predictability of automation solutions by creating automated deployment strategies, CI/CD, performance and resiliency testing, using tools like NeoLoad, Dynatrace, Splunk, Jenkins, Artifactory etc.,
- Lead multiple delivery scrum teams and build scalable, resilient automation solutions, using established engineering best practices
- Drive and facilitate innovation within the team, lead and contribute expertise to activities associated with defining engineering requirements, determining technical feasibility, forecasting (time, cost, complexity), and best practices to avoid pitfalls and mistakes.
- Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business alignment with team, leadership, and with business leaders
- Learns new technologies and products, engages in research and POCs to identify the best fit solutions
- Ensure high quality design reviews which meet business and architectural goals and drive critical feedback on architecture and design issues.
- Drives solution end-to-end, inclusive of partner delivery organizations. Coordinates design impacts appropriately with enterprise architecture and solution design peer groups.
- This is an enterprise role supporting all business lines and manages and operates strategic supplier and software product relationships
- This role requires strong leadership skills to collaborate with cross functional teams, to solve the most critical engineering challenges and partner across the enterprise to deliver solutions that map with technology end state architecture.
- The solutions delivered by this role are key to meet our technology objectives, ramp up innovation, transform our stakeholder experience and also increase our affordability.
Qualifications:
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in cloud based distributed software design and development, and experience with
- 10 Experience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance.
- Knowledge of Cloud services like AWS serverless platform (Lamba, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, API Gateway, SNS / SQS / AppSync, Kinesis) or Azure services
- Experience with non-traditional database and knowledge representation architectures such as semantic graphs, NoSQL, is preferred
- DevOps mindset and experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Gitlab-CI, etc)
- Experience working with container-based solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, etc) is preferred
- Prior experience as a software engineering lead.
- 7 years of software development experience utilizing Java/.Net, Python, or full stack JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Pega BPM or AWS step functions or other business process management solutions are desirable
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 171,500 - 285,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
