Summary
An Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor is a high-level technical leader responsible for defining, designing, and implementing complex, scalable technology architectures (often cloud-based or infrastructure-focused) that aligns with business strategy. They drive technical standards, lead cross-functional teams, and provide strategic consultation to improve system reliability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities
Strategic Design: Create and maintain technical roadmaps, blueprints, and standards for complex, large-scale systems
Technical Leadership: Guide development and engineering teams in adopting best practices, modern frameworks (e.g., Azure, AI/ML), and CI/CD tools
Solution Architecture: Design secure, resilient, and scalable solutions (e.g., microservices, cloud-native applications)
Stakeholder Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert, partnering with business teams to translate needs into actionable technical requirements
Governance & Optimization: Enforce compliance with architectural standards, manage technical debt, and drive performance improvements through retrospectives
Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior architects and engineers to bridge knowledge gaps
Requirements
5 years' experience in IT architecture, software design, or infrastructure
3 years' in a lead role
Deep expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), microservices, API management, and database technologies
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to think strategically
Ability to influence cross-functionals for positive outcomes
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field highly desired
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
