The Procure‑to‑Pay Director provides enterprise‑level leadership and strategic direction for multiple disciplines within the Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) function. This role is responsible for the overall performance, scalability, and effectiveness of large, complex, and highly diverse supply chain procurement and replenishment operations. The Director oversees multiple managers and teams and ensures alignment across procurement, sourcing, purchasing, and replenishment activities to support business objectives.
This leader plays a critical role in driving on‑time delivery, cost reduction, compliance, and quality across all assigned products, supplies, materials, and services. The role operates with significant autonomy, making decisions—often in ambiguous conditions—that can have long‑term impacts across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership across multiple Procure‑to‑Pay and replenishment disciplines, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
- Lead and develop subordinate managers and teams, fostering strong performance, accountability, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Oversee procurement, sourcing, and purchasing strategies to achieve objectives related to cost optimization, service levels, quality, and supplier performance.
- Establish and execute short‑term and long‑term strategic goals that align with corporate and divisional priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and enhancements to systems and functionality that support evolving business and client requirements.
- Build and maintain strong cross‑functional partnerships with internal stakeholders and effective relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks within replenishment and procurement activities.
- Develop, manage, and oversee forecasts and resource planning to support business needs and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor and collaborator with executive leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and execution support for enterprise initiatives.
Leadership & Decision‑Making
- Exercise broad decision‑making authority with the ability to act independently while balancing risk, compliance, and business impact.
- Make informed decisions with limited information and navigate complexity in fast‑moving or changing environments.
- Influence outcomes across multiple functions through executive‑level communication and relationship management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive leadership experience within procurement, supply chain, or Procure‑to‑Pay functions, preferably in large and complex organizations.
- Proven ability to lead through layers of management and manage diverse, distributed teams.
- Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen, with experience driving measurable improvements.
- Demonstrated success leading change, improving processes, and enabling scalable operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including regular interaction with senior and executive leadership.
This role is ideal for a strategic, results‑oriented leader who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by driving enterprise‑wide impact.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 141,200 - 235,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan and long term incentive plan.
