Sterchi Hills Parents' Day Out is looking for a caring, dependable teacher to join our team! If you love working with young children and want to be part of a fun, supportive, Christ-centered program, we'd love to hear from you.
Our PDO serves children ages 1 through Pre-K in a safe, loving environment where they learn through play, explore God's world, and hear about Jesus each day.
Schedule
- Mondays & Wednesdays
- 8:30 AM – 2:15 PM
- August through May
- Follows the Knox County Schools calendar

Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, loving, and engaging classroom for children.
- Lead age-appropriate activities including circle time, crafts, sensory play, outdoor play, and Bible lessons.
- Help children learn routines, build friendships, and grow in confidence.
- Assist with snack, lunch, diapering, and potty training as needed.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff.
- Work as part of a team to create a welcoming environment for every family.
Qualifications
- A genuine love for young children.
- Dependable, positive, and willing to work as a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to actively participate in classroom activities and lift up to 40 pounds when needed.
- Must pass a background check before employment.
- Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required.
