Christman Facility Solutions is looking for an HVAC Technician in our Mesquite, Texas region.
What You Will Do
As an HVAC Technician, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Installs, maintains, and repairs commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and packaged systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots complex HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
- Conducts thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify deficiencies, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement.
- Provides detailed repair estimates and recommendations to commercial clients, and communicates effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinates with building managers, facility owners, and other stakeholders to schedule service appointments and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Keeps accurate records of all service calls, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment history.
- Stays current on industry standards, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies related to commercial HVAC systems.
- Adheres to safety protocols and best practices at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborates with other team members to share knowledge, provide support, and ensure timely completion of projects.
What You Will Bring To The Team
Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician or equivalent position providing similar work experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants (e.g., Universal Certification).
- Advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including controls, refrigeration circuits, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex HVAC issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work in various environments, including rooftops and mechanical rooms.
