Job Description: The NXT Gen Ministry Coordinator has a primary role in leading NXT Gen Ministry. This role requires teaching and facilitating ministry environments for multiple age groups with a gospel-centered approach to making disciples. Additionally, this role includes events and activities within NXT Gen ministries as well as strategizing with the NXT Gen team to determine direction and primary emphasis within the NXT Gen family context. Lancaster Alliance Church (LAC) intends to have an integrated approach to ministry that does not exclusively segregate students from the intergenerational ministry of the church. Consequently, this position requires a team-oriented individual.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to align with the current direction of the Lancaster Alliance Church and be supportive of the vision and direction of the current leadership
- Must evidence a growing walk with Christ aligned with passages such as Galatians 5:22-23
- Must have a desire to see the next generation and their families reached and transformed by the power of the Gospel
- Must be able to teach and lead grades K-12 in multiple ministry environments
- Must be gifted in communication and care with grades K-12 and their families
- Must have a four-year degree in ministry area, related degree, or equivalent experience
- Must be able to interact with online platforms such as Elexio (church database), Google, and social media
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Family Engagement Team to design and implement a strategy that fulfills gospel-centered guiding principles
- Coordinate, lead and manage retreats, missions, trips, and conferences for student ministry
- Work with volunteer teams to serve students and their families in weekly programming and special events
- Meet regularly with the Family Engagement Team for prayer, planning, and evaluation
- Participate in pastoral staff and general staff meetings
- Teach and lead in a next-gen ministry environment at least once a week
- Intentionally look for ways to engage your giftings in the job/role as time allows
Accountability
- The NXT Gen Coordinator reports to the Pastor of Family Engagement
- Shall participate in an annual review with the Pastor of Family Engagement (and other pastoral staff as necessary)
- Complete developmental requirements as needed
Compensation
- Full time/Salaried (commensurate with education and experience)
- Benefits
- Hours and salary to be reviewed after 90 days

Church history: LAC was born out of a desire to see God work in the lives of people who were desperate for Him. Lancaster County families were seeking to have a deeper walk with God and heard of A.B. Simpson in New York. They traveled to hear him teach and through that ministry, they themselves experienced significant emotional and physical healing. They first gathered in homes that eventually led to their first church located in the heart of the city. Currently, the church meets in a business area of the city of Lancaster near Route 30.
