General Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized Property Damage Paralegal to join our exceptional team. With 12 attorneys in our office, we are passionate and enjoy what we do. Our office environment is different from other law firms; we are not formal or stuffy, we don’t bill hours, and we won’t ask you to work nights, weekends, or holidays. However, we do expect you to work hard, just like the rest of our team.

The ideal Property Damage Paralegal should be a skilled multitasker who is comfortable on the phone and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Your responsibilities will include:

·        Managing property damage claims, especially as they relate to diminished value following a motor vehicle accident 

·        Work directly with clients to assess the client’s property damage

·        Work directly with attorneys in assisting them to negotiate diminished value claims with insurance companies

·        Managing multiple deadlines and statutes of limitations

·        Working with appraisers when required

·   Special projects as assigned

Skills and/or Experience:

Required:

·        Customer Service Experience & Friendly Demeanor

·        Microsoft Office Skills

·        Multitasking and Prioritizing

Desirable:

·        Bilingual

·        Filevine Experience

·        Familiarity with Diminished Value and Property Damage Claims

Schedule & Compensation:

The Property Damage Paralegal is a full-time position with benefits, based at the Chopin Law Firm office in New Orleans, LA. The typical work schedule will fall between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST.

The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
