We are a well-established masonry, chimney, and fireplace company actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Technician to enhance our team. As we expand our operations across Los Angeles, we need professionals who can meet the demands of our growing business.
With over 37 years of experience in the chimney and fireplace industry, our owner has built strong relationships with contractors, designers, architects, real estate agents, and homeowners. We require individuals who are not only experienced in the construction trade but also eager to learn and adapt to new construction techniques.
The average salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on your skills, knowledge, and commitment to growth within our expanding company.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in wood framing
- Proficient in metal framing
- Experience with stucco (all types): smooth, Spanish lace, waterproofing, and house wrapping
- Ability to lay brick and block
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Basic roofing skills
- Basic gas piping knowledge for residential applications
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry is a MUST
- Reliable work vehicle (ladder rack preferred) is a MUST
- Own necessary tools for the trade
- Consistently arrive on time and prepared at the job site
- Ability to travel throughout LA County
- Comfort with heights and working in small spaces
