Duties
- Deliver prepared lesson plans or create engaging activities aligned with curriculum standards to maintain classroom momentum.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using proven behavior management and classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
- Support students’ social-emotional needs by encouraging participation, promoting respect, and ensuring safety for all children.
- Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning in collaboration with regular teachers or based on provided materials.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements or working with children with autism.
- Monitor student progress during lessons, provide feedback, and report on student behavior and academic performance to school staff.
- Maintain a professional demeanor, communicate clearly with students and staff, and uphold school policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or childcare experience working with children of various ages, including preschool and early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, Montessori methods, or preschool education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, parents, and caregivers.
- Experience working with students who have special needs or require additional support, including familiarity with working with children with autism or in special education environments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining high standards for student safety and learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior constructively and foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is a plus; however, relevant experience is equally valued.
