Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their development in a safe and nurturing environment. This role involves caring for children of various ages, including infants and toddlers, while promoting their physical, emotional, and social growth through engaging activities and structured routines.
Duties
- Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, including educational games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, napping, and personal hygiene for infants and toddlers.
- Monitor children's behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment that is conducive to learning and play.
- Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on the best interests of the children.
Skills
- Proficient in First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong background in toddler care, infant care, early childhood education, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching or facilitating learning experiences for young children.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles.
- Previous experience in daycare settings, babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is highly valued.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to various age groups including preschoolers.
