We are a warm, relationship-centered preschool in Minnetonka dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education in a supportive, collaborative environment. We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team.
Position Summary
The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment, and partnering closely with families and staff. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a team player, and passionate about helping young children learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement high-quality, interactive, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Create a warm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate effectively with assistant teachers and school leadership
- Communicate professionally and consistently with parents
- Observe, assess, and document children’s development
- Maintain compliance with all state licensing requirements
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as an Assistant Teacher in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Meets all Minnesota requirements for Lead Teacher qualification (education, coursework, and/or experience as defined by DHS Licensing)
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive relationships with families
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Part-time position with consistent weekly hours
- One paid training day in December 2025
- Official start date: January 5, 2026
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
