Job Summary: We are seeking a Forklift Operator to drive gas powered yard truck or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for positioning forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets and transporting loads to designated areas.

Work Environment: Regularly required to use hands while controlling equipment; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and to write correspondence. Basic math skills are required, such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Responsibilities:
- Position forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Pull orders.
- Scan merchandise and locations using RF technology.
- Put away merchandise to appropriate locations verified by the RF scanner.
- Operate equipment using The Children's Place and Cal OSHA safety standards.
- Complete equipment checklist before and after each use in order to verify condition of machine.
- Immediately report any problems with the machines to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Move trailers to their designated area.
