A Brief Overview A Brief Overview Under the direction and supervision of a collaborative physician and practicing APP, the APP Fellow-CRNP is a trainee. The APP Clinical Immersion program provides mentoring, didactic teaching, simulation skills training, and experience to prepare the APP Fellow to become a competent inpatient hospital provider. Throughout the program, the APP Fellow will become responsible for the direct care and follow up of a population of patients that matches his/her skill set, through the designated curriculum and timelines. The components of the role include education, clinical practice, consultation, and professional development. What you will do Under the direct guidance and supervision of the Attending Physician and/or Hospital Provider Participates in the APP Clinical Immersion program educational curriculum. Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate educational offerings. As a part of the learning process, will utilize advanced assessment skills to support the management of a cohort of patients. Performs and documents daily assessments. Collects and analyzes data and formulates a family-centered plan of care. Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment plan. As a trainee, works collaboratively to communicate the plan of care and potential changes to this plan to the supervising physician and assigned Hospital Provider Demonstrates a commitment to patient safety by speaking up about safety issues and changing practices to enhance safety. Shares errors or potential errors through system reporting mechanisms. Demonstrates shared accountability for safe practice. Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required Master's Degree Nursing Required Skills and Abilities Ability to work in a team setting with multiple responsibilities.
