Founded in 1876, The Children's Home of Kingston provides a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for youth and families. Our mission is to strengthen their ability to make positive choices through education, structure, and compassionate care. We are currently seeking Youth Care Workers to help continue our legacy of making a lasting impact in the lives of young people.
Position Summary
The Youth Care Worker ensures and provides the safety, supervision, and care of youth in a therapeutic residential setting. Duties include monitoring behavior, intervening in crises, facilitating daily activities, maintaining security, and documenting youth progress. The position also involves building positive relationships, supporting youth development, and collaborating with team members to implement effective interventions.
Available Schedules:
Full-Time & Part-Time Shifts
Weekend Day: 8am - 4pm
Evening: 3pm -11pm

Qualifications
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 1 year of employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
- Valid NYS driver’s license, with a clean driving record
- Must be 21 years of age or older
