Caregiver for children

Overview:

The Children’s College Learning Center is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Caregivers. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to children including, feeding, diaper changing, teaching and guidance.

Duties:

- Assist with diaper changing

-Assist in feeding children

- Guide and re-direct as they are learning to navigate life skills

-Emotional support and compassion with daily encounters
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and help with household chores
- Monitor and report changes in child’s health or behavior
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Engage clients in activities that promote physical and mental stimulation

Qualifications:

- Experience in caregiving at a learning center or daycare preferred
- Ability to lift and transfer children safely when needed
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Will require first aid and CPR certification - this can be taken prior to first day of work

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers

- Have a love for children and teaching

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Must be able to obtain a food handlers certification

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR AND FIRST AID (Preferred)

• Day Shift (Preferred)
