Since 1833, The Children's Center of Hamden has been dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Education Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for our educational programs and school partnerships throughout Connecticut. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will oversee Whitney Hall School while expanding innovative partnerships with school districts, state agencies, and community organizations to improve outcomes for children and families.

What You'll Do

As the Vice President of Education Services, you will:

• Provide executive leadership and administrative oversight for Whitney Hall School and educational partnerships across Connecticut.

• Supervise the Principal of Whitney Hall School while establishing goals, policies, and procedures that ensure educational excellence and regulatory compliance.

• Develop and strengthen partnerships with K–12 school districts, CSDE, DCF, and community-based organizations.

• Serve as the primary liaison between The Children's Center of Hamden and educational partners to support a seamless continuum of care.

• Identify funding opportunities and cultivate relationships with public and private funders to expand educational and behavioral health initiatives.

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to design and implement school-based behavioral health programs, including early intervention, prevention, behavioral supports, crisis response, school re-entry, and chronic absenteeism initiatives.

• Oversee educational partnerships to ensure programs meet clinical, educational, operational, and financial goals.

• Establish performance metrics and lead quality improvement initiatives to evaluate program effectiveness.

• Ensure compliance with IDEA, FERPA, HIPAA, Connecticut regulations, and agency policies.

• Participate as a collaborative member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to organizational strategy and growth.

• Promote culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and inclusive educational services.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Education Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• Sixth-Year Certificate in Educational Leadership or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in education, behavioral health, or human services.

• Experience developing educational partnerships, innovative programming, and community collaborations.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavioral health, special education, and public education systems.

• Established relationships with Connecticut school districts, state agencies, and community providers, particularly within the Greater New Haven region, preferred.

• Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, communication, public speaking, grant writing, and relationship-building skills.

• Commitment to culturally responsive, family-centered, and collaborative service delivery.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to travel throughout Connecticut to support partner schools, meetings, and community initiatives.

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of an office and school-based leadership role, including standing, walking, sitting, driving, and computer use.

• Ability to maintain a safe, professional, and collaborative environment for students, families, employees, and community partners.
