Wage Range: DOE $14.25 – $16.00 per hour
**may negotiate to be Exempt/salaried
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday–Friday) - 40hr/week
About the Role
In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their growth and development through play-based learning and engaging activities. Your expertise in early childhood education will help shape the minds of our future leaders and innovators.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs and interests of preschool-aged children
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Utilize various teaching methods to engage children in learning, including hands-on activities, storytelling, and creative arts
- Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their child's development
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create an enriching educational experience and participate in professional development
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding staff and family information.
- Be present at work to provide consistency of services.
- Be a contributory team member in a positive/productive manner.
- Demonstrate commitment to mission, values, and policies in the performance of daily duties.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working in a preschool/childcare setting preferred.
CDA (willing to obtain within 12 months of accepting position)
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in active play.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
