Toddler 1 Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler 1 Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children aged approximately 12 to 24 months. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster early childhood development, promote positive behavior, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and positive interactions.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, milestones, and any concerns about their child's well-being or progress.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment for children.
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving tasks in accordance with licensing standards and best practices.
• Document observations of children's development and behavior to support individualized learning plans and ongoing assessments.

Skills

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
