Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility as well as the safety and well-being of the residents and facility structure and its contents.
- Responsible for meeting and maintaining regulatory and company safety standards.
- Keep the building in a clean and orderly condition by examining the building on a regular basis for needed repairs, maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Perform or arrange for general building and fixture repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build a strong team, including performing skill assessments and developing training plans for staff.
- Report any unusual conditions or malfunction of heating, plumbing and electrical systems or any other incidents.
- Responsible for key maintenance and other security systems.
- Makes estimates of labor and/or materials for repair or new construction.
- Assists in planning repair/renovation projects.
- Oversees and coordinates work with outside contractors.
- Responsible for the ordering and inventory control of maintenance/kitchen supplies.
- Responsible for garbage and refuse disposal, as well as snow removal.
- Supervise maintenance of landscaping and upkeep of grounds equipment.
- Other duties as needed.
- Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, as well as outside contractors.
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 10 years’ construction and repair experience.
- Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, plaster, painting, door hardware, and general maintenance.
- 7 years' experience with supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff.
- Previous maintenance experience in a residential treatment facility preferred.
