Role Description/Main Responsibilities
The MCLE (Mandatory Continuing Legal Education) Coordinator role is a full-time position based in Chicago, Illinois. The MCLE Coordinator provides administrative support to the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Department. The MCLE Coordinator is responsible for managing and submitting applications for continuing legal education credit, maintaining and reporting accurate attendance records, and assisting members of the legal community in preparing for, attending, or speaking at education events. The MCLE Coordinator reports to the CBA CLE Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; legal industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Keen attention to details, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Professional attitude, appearance, and behavior.
- Customer service orientation.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- iMIS database experience a plus.
Specific Tasks:
- Review Continuing Legal Education programs for accreditation purposes, assign MCLE credit, process and upload attendance data into database
- Prepare and submit applications for MCLE credit to the MCLE Board
- Calculate MCLE credit, create teaching certificates for program speakers and email certificates to each speaker
- Assisting in compiling monthly MCLE attendance reports to submit to the MCLE Board
- Provide customer service to members seeking assistance with CLE credit questions and issues
- Assist at registration check-in desk as needed
- Assist with special CBA and MCLE Department projects as assigned
Salary Range: $40,000-$44,000

The Chicago Bar Association is a hybrid working environment. Full-time employees typically work in the Chicago office location 3 days per week.
