The Cold Prep prepares to serve all cold foods and deserts, and daily set up of the salad bar. We are seeking a very special candidate for this important role! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining the operations of the café.
- Attending to the food and beverage needs of our residents, guests and employees.
- Promptly obtaining & preparing orders.
- Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control in food preparation and serving.
- Follow menus provided, making changes only with the consent of the supervisor.
- Makes, prepares, and serves sandwiches and salads according to café recipes.
- Makes, prepares and serves baked goods, hot cereals, breakfast items and grilled items.
- Follows daily and weekly duties.
- Prepare and serve at the proper time, sufficient quantity of food to meet the service requirement.
- Maintain proper sanitation and safety in food preparation areas.
- Responsible for keeping café area clean, neat and orderly.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of the cash register, and handling of café income.
- Maintains professionalism when not assisting customers; avoids eating, sitting, reading, watching TV, or any other activities that are not work-related
- Participate in cleaning of cooking area and other kitchen equipment and facilities.
