Position Summary: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.
What you’ll do:
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department and prepare for shipping.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Assists in billing process.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Completa requisiciones, órdenes de trabajo o solicitudes de materiales, herramientas u otros artículos en existencia y distribuye los artículos a los trabajadores de producción o la línea de ensamblaje.
- Reúne los pedidos de los clientes a partir del stock y coloca los pedidos en paletas o estantes, o transmite los pedidos a la estación de empaque o al departamento de envíos y los prepara para el envío.
- Marca los materiales con información de identificación.
- Abre fardos, cajas y otros contenedores. Registra las cantidades de materiales o artículos recibidos o distribuidos.
- Pesa o cuenta los artículos para su distribución dentro de la planta a fin de garantizar el cumplimiento de los estándares de la empresa. Colabora en el proceso de facturación.
- Diploma de secundaria o título de educación general (GED), o de uno a tres meses de experiencia y/o capacitación relacionada, o una combinación equivalente de educación y experiencia.
