Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership for the nursing department, setting clear goals aligned with organizational mission and educational standards
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance nursing services, ensuring compliance with all state-specific education laws and regulations
- Manage the departmental budget efficiently, overseeing financial planning, resource allocation, and cost control measures
- Supervise nursing staff and other personnel, fostering professional development through coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with school administrators and academic leaders to integrate nursing services seamlessly into the broader educational framework
- Ensure high-quality patient care by establishing policies, procedures, and protocols that meet regulatory standards and best practices in education-based healthcare
- Lead efforts in staff recruitment, training, and retention to build a motivated and competent nursing team committed to excellence in education administration and healthcare delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience in management within healthcare or educational settings, preferably with school administrative director experience or academic leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of state-specific education laws related to nursing practice and healthcare regulations
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, organizational budget management, and personnel management in education or healthcare environments
- Background in instructional leadership in education or teaching roles related to health sciences is highly desirable
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment
- Experience in university-level or higher education settings is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or Education Administration strongly preferred; valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
