- Greet all guests with a genuine, warm welcome and use their names whenever possible.
- Escort guests to their designated tables or poolside lounge chairs promptly.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond quickly, and acknowledge every guest regardless of how busy the deck is.
- Provide consistent, efficient, and courteous service that strictly adheres to Forbes Standards.
- Set up, arrange, and maintain poolside lounge chairs throughout the day.
- Distribute hourly amenities and refreshments to guests lounging by the pool.
- Manage towel inventory by picking up fresh towels and returning soiled ones for laundering.
- Stock necessary side stands with essential supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist food and beverage servers during busy meal periods to ensure timely service.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and beverages.
- Clear, bus, and reset tables quickly to keep the dining and lounge areas pristine.
- Polish silverware and glassware to maintain luxury presentation standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with hotel guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests.
- Proficient in memorizing and articulately explaining extensive food, beverage, ingredient, and daily special options to guests.
- Ability remain calm under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others.
- Possess a strong positive attitude and ability to initiate light conversation with guests.
- Basic knowledge of Charleston and surrounding areas.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Additional foreign language skills a plus.

- Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds.
- Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.
- The role may require extended periods on your feet, especially during peak hotel hours or events.
- Clear vision is important for reading reports, analyzing data, and overseeing Pool activities.
- Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
