What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) position at The Chapman House?
The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures that consistent, quality care is provided for all residents. Administering prescribed medications and treatments, completes resident assessments and provides leadership support to the clinical team.
- Reviews all residents' care needs and concerns; provides information to the residents' physician if necessary
- Verifies that all residents' physician orders are being fillowed as ordered
- Completes all medication administration timely and in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements
- Completes all charting and documentation of care, medical record, and MAR according to policy and regulatory requirements.
- Assists with the Admission process
- Reviews residents' medical records for completeness and accuracy. Completes nursing notes and monthly summaries in a timely manner.
- Completes resident assessments as idicated, assists with ADLS and other tasks as needed.
- Monitors CRMA protocol, administration practices, and documentation of medications to ensure safe medication administration practices are followed according to regulatory standards.
- Recommends inservice training to keep all staff current with educational requirements.
- Assists with developing and conducting in-service education and training.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 years of experience in geriatric medical setting preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with residents, providers, co-workers, managers.
- Ability to desgin, develop, implement programs and polices related to staff education and training needs and resident health and medical needs.
- Current RN Lincense as recognized by the State of Maine Board of Nursing, active and unencumbered
- Current knowledge on nursing practices and standards for residential facilities licensed for 26-40 reesidents.
Pay: $29.27 - $42.00 per hour
