What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Litigation & Litigation Attorney position at The Champion Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.C.?
The Champion Firm | Marietta and Woodstock, Georgia
The Champion Firm is seeking an experienced personal injury attorney to handle a combination of pre-litigation and litigation matters. This role is ideal for an attorney who can manage cases independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of their work without constant oversight.
About The Champion Firm
The Champion Firm is a highly-respected Georgia-based personal injury law firm built around one core belief: every injured person deserves an advocate who will fight to maximize the value of their case, regardless of case size.
We do not operate as a volume practice. Our attorneys are not handling hundreds of cases each. We do not have case managers who do everything with an attorney who just rubber stamps the work. We believe when people hire a law firm they deserve the personal attention of an attorney.
We intentionally manage caseloads so our attorneys can provide exceptional service, thoughtful strategy, and real attention to each client. While we handle cases of all sizes, we do not impose a value threshold. A client with a $25,000 case deserves the same care, attention, and service as a client with a higher value case.
The Role
The attorney in this position will handle a mix of pre-litigation and litigation cases, primarily involving car accident and premises liability matters, most with values of $100,000 and under. These cases still require strong lawyering, clear communication, and disciplined follow-through.
This is not a training position. We are looking for someone who already knows how to move cases forward and can be trusted to do so.
Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of pre-litigation and litigation personal injury cases from intake through resolution
- Draft and respond to pleadings, written discovery, and motions
- Take and defend depositions as needed
- Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement value independently
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and team members
- Work collaboratively with paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently
- Uphold the firm’s standards for service, professionalism, and results
What We’re Looking For
- Experience handling personal injury cases, including car accident and/or premises liability matters
- Ability to manage cases with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills, judgment, organization, and follow-through
- A client-first mindset and genuine respect for people going through difficult situations
- Desire to practice law at a firm that prioritizes quality, ethics, and long-term reputation over volume
What We Offer
- A firm culture that values service, results, and integrity over raw numbers
- Reasonable caseload expectations designed to allow attorneys to do their best work
- Strong paralegal and staff support
- Competitive compensation based on experience, including base salary plus a percentage of the fee on each case resolved
- 100% employer-paid health insurance
- 401k with an employer match
- Opportunity to grow within a firm intentionally designed to avoid burnout and commoditized lawyering
- Hybrid work schedule with the opportunity to work out of our Marietta or Woodstock offices
Who This Role Is (and Is Not) For
This role is a great fit for an attorney who:
- Wants autonomy and responsibility
- Takes pride in doing things the right way
- Believes small and medium cases still deserve excellent lawyering
- Uphold the firm’s standards for service, professionalism, and results
- This role is not a fit for someone looking for a high-volume, settlement-mill environment or constant supervision.
Salary : $25,000 - $100,000
