Small financial consulting firm has an opportunity for a self-directed person to work on tax compliance, research, general accounting and related projects for a variety of clients. This position affords the candidate work on a variety of companies, as well as environments from entrepreneurial to well-established. There is abundant opportunity in this position to take-on varying projects, learn from a seasoned team and a clear path to grow your career. Tax compliance, transactional accounting, and account analysis experience a plus.
In addition to a foundation in tax and GL accounting, you possess a professional demeanor when interacting with clients & vendors over the telephone, email and in-person. You are organized, catch-on with repetition, have impeccable follow-through and are comfortable researching on the internet.
Typical Responsibilities that you could work-on Include:
- Tax compliance (mostly seasonal)
- Tax research
- Transactional accounting - vendor bills, invoices, check printing, etc. (off season)
- GL account analysis
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Troubleshoot and resolve accounting and transactional issues creatively and proactively
- Professionally interact with customers, vendors, clients, etc.
- Research and summarize various topics
- Financial statement preparation a plus
Skill-set Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- Two to five years of work experience in a position of responsibility
- Believes in timely deliverables
- Comfortable with computers
- Well organized – particularly with computer folders
- Strong understanding of high-level customer service.
