Description
Position: Facilities Coordinator
Program: As Assigned
Reports to: Program Director
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow and give complex verbal and written directions.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Some custodial cleaning experience or the ability to be trained in these areas.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday
Physical Demands:

- Ability to walk, bend, crawl, climb and lift (minimum of 40 pounds)
- Must work indoors and outdoors year-round
- Must be able to perform heavy physical activity
Overall Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of CPL programs by ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Performs routine maintenance, janitorial services, supplies management, and minor repairs to ensure a functional and efficient environment for both students and staff.
- Works closely with the management team to help maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within CPL Programs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and safeguards each student’s/participant’s right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.
- Performs basic building upkeep tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
- Responds to work orders and completes repairs as required.
- Assist program staff with any requests related to the upkeep of the facility or moving heavy items as needed.
- Assists with the installation and setup of furniture, equipment, and fixtures within the program as needed.
- Coordinates with external contractors or service providers for major repairs, maintenance, or specialized work (e.g., HVAC servicing, plumbing, or electrical repairs).
- Maintains and organizes supplies and equipment required for cleaning and general maintenance (e.g., cleaning solutions, paper towels, trash bags, etc.).
- Follows all safety and environmental health regulations while performing duties, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., sharps, medications, cleaning agents), cleans and disinfects as needed and manage waste disposal.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, infection control procedures, and school specific safety protocols.
- Maintains safety signage (e.g., wet floor signs) and ensure that fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency exits are properly maintained and accessible.
- Oversees contracted cleaning service and report deficiencies to company.
- Ensure that all areas, including classrooms and hallways, are free from clutter and organized to promote smooth program operations.
- Perform additional related duties as requested by the Program Director/Manager.
