About the Position:
We are looking for a Training Specialist to facilitate our employee development initiatives, presenting creative training events and educational programs. Responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. Managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs. Candidate will demonstrate proficiency with Office 365 administration and provide technical and training support to staff. Ultimately, the role of the Training Specialist is to produce and implement professional development at our agency, in person, online, and through our Learning Management System.
Our ideal candidate has experience with various training methods including e-learning and Learning Management Systems. Experience with different projects, such as management training and soft-skills development, is also essential. If you can think of and design engaging ways to train our employees, we'd like to meet you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning content, courses, and curricula, utilizing an array of instructional design strategies, focusing on innovative ways to deliver training
- Train staff and supervisors in best practice methods, empowering/equipping them to succeed
- Manage eLearning software platform, LMS Learning Center, and various training tools
- Administer and manage courses within the learning management system
- Manage users, assigning training as needed and provide status reports
- Track performance/progress, and measure competencies of online and in-person learners
- Research and obtain relevant and reliable content for training courses
- Utilize a variety of media, multimedia files, and social media tools to develop interactive learning
- Provide recommendations on effective delivery methods
- Work in partnership with subject matter experts and stakeholders across all levels of the agency to gather information needed to develop learning deliverables

Work Hours:
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional. Hybrid work is available based on job duties.
Does the Following Apply to You?
- Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's degree in Social Work or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of related Learning Management System experience preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience in Instructional Design
- Functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite and especially Office 365
Additional Qualifications:
- Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain an insured vehicle
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
