What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rapid Response Advocate position at The Center for Violence Prevention?

The Center For Violence Prevention is seeking a full time Anti-Human Trafficking Rapid Responder for North Mississippi. Some of the duties for this position are:

  • Point of Contact for Law enforcement who identify suspected victims of human trafficking;
  • Conduct interviews with potential victims;
  • Act as a knowledgeable advocate within the legal system;
  • Develop a network of LEO, service providers and referrals source to assist in identifying & responding to victims;
  • Participate in a Regional Human Trafficking Task Force which include coordination of meetings;
  • Collaborate with partnered agencies to facilitate services to trafficked victims;
  • Understand the dynamics of trauma-informed care with the ability to identify victims;
  • Possess strong problem solving & conflict resolution skills;
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, have flexibility to work and be on-call as needed.

B.A. or B.S. in Social Work, Social Services, Psychology, or Criminal Justice and 1 year case management experience with victims of human trafficking or sexual assault preferred. Good organization, written and oral communication skills, clean criminal background and drug test required. Must reside in Northwest Mississippi for consideration.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
