What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Manager position at The Center for Pursuit?
The Residential Manager is responsible for the supervision of Direct Support Professionals and oversight of the HCS group home locations. Duties include but are not limited to, ensuring appropriate staffing for all of the group homes in the HCS program; administrative on-call duties; accommodation of special needs (dietary and meal preparation); consumer integration; environmental standards; monitoring timekeeping issues (overtime); ensure adequacy of food/household supplies so that the Direct Support Professionals have the necessary items in the homes to care for the clients. The Residential Manager is also responsible for completing payroll functions for all of the staff in the program. The Residential Manager will be responsible for the provision of direct service delivery. The Residential Manager is responsible for reviewing and maintaining documentation in accordance with state agency guidelines. The Residential Manager organizes data and tracks submission of unit documentation including HHSC Residential Reviews, service delivery logs, food consumption logs, fire drills, on-site inspections, etc. The Residential Manager resolves consumer issues by phone, forward calls to appropriate administrative staff as required, and contacts Direct Support professionals regarding but not limited documentation errors, disciplinary action, etc. as appropriate. Must be able to multi-task. Irregular hours and evening/weekend work may be required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree in a social service area is strongly preferred but not required. Must have experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in managing similar programs serving people with developmental disabilities or those needing similar services.

Special Training/ Skills: Excellent leadership, verbal, and writing skills.
Licensure/ Certification: CPR required upon hire and annually thereafter. Valid Texas Drivers License in good standing.
