Family Justice Center Advocate - Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 PM
The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a passionate and compassionate individual to join our team as a Family Justice Center Advocate at the Family Justice Center in downtown Peoria. Our mission at CFPA is to help all people – women, men, and children, live free from violence and abuse, and the Family Justice Center Advocate plays an important role in fulfilling that mission.
The Family Justice Center Advocate is responsible for providing domestic violence support services to CFPA clients. They will provide comprehensive services including emotional support, assistance with Orders of Protection, and crisis intervention counseling. They will also assist with follow-up within a 24-hour period after a crime was committed, handle casework and documentation, and assist law enforcement agency personnel when necessary.
Preferred education of bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or criminal justice.
