Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician reports to the Business Manager and will oversee the maintenance needs of vehicles and building. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. Essentially, the goal of a maintenance technician is to maintain the facilities and common areas in the best possible condition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasks will include, but limited to: ensuring that work orders are being handled in a timely manner, heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, vehicle upkeep and monitoring/performing scheduled maintenance, the upkeep of the landscape, setting up/tearing down for events, etc.

- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
- Participate in the Safety, Accessibility, Risk (SAR) Committee.
- Complete weekly work orders on a timely basis.
- Survey vehicles/buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee vehicle upkeep and ensure the scheduled maintenance is completed.
- Perform setup and tear down tasks for events.
- Oversee companies providing services at The Center (i.e. pest control, lawn maintenance, snow removal, etc.)
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience:
- 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point
- Physical Requirements:
- The Administrative Assistant position will typically work in an office setting. Frequent sitting, standing, talking, and active listening. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, crawling, reaching, walking, driving, traveling, kneeling and crouching.
