Director of Facilities

Brief Description

The Director of Facilities is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all day-to-day maintenance operations, including Work Requests, Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance schedules, staffing, and project planning. This leadership role ensures operational excellence across all physical facilities by managing both proactive and reactive maintenance, supervising operations staff, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The Director plays a key role in developing staffing plans, managing budgets and resources, and supporting strategic capital projects and future development initiatives. Working in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Maintenance, this position supports departmental functions to ensure that maintenance systems and processes align with organizational goals

and provide a safe, functional environment for all individuals, departments, and programs served by the agency.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, planning, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, external vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Proficient in facility upkeep and maintenance, with the physical ability to lift heavy
  
  

objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

• Vocational or technical training (or ability to obtain required certifications), basic
  
  

computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office), and familiarity with maintenance

systems and tools.

• High school diploma preferred; valid New York State driver’s license required; must be available for on-call responsibilities.

Salary Range

$89,000 - $99,000 Annually
