Children's Support Aide 30-39 hours

This position is responsible for assisting severely emotionally disturbed children in successfully achieving their treatment plan goals by providing one-on-one support within a community or school setting.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with assigned children individually and in group settings to develop skills identified by their treatment plan
• Support assigned children in daily living skills as needed and appropriate
• Support assigned children in school and/or community activities as needed and appropriate
• Accurately complete all required documentation and communicate information to assigned children's treatment team regarding progress towards established goals
• Provide Respite Care, Attendant Care, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Independent Living/Skills Building and Transportation as defined by Medicaid and as qualified
• Participate in agency meetings, training and ongoing professional development as required
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Background void of issues related to abuse or neglect
• Valid Kansas driver's license with favorable record
• Complete AC, PRI, ILS and Respite Training within 120 days of start date
• Previous experience and/or education in human services, education, early childhood, or related field.
• Working knowledge of social service resources

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.42 - $16.83 per hour
